Whenever the dance world is portrayed onscreen, things get real dramatic, super-quick. So to prep for the show this fall, here’s a look at 12 books about the darker side of dance. The dance of change brings the tally up another pages, and deals with the challenges that all change initiatives in organizations meet. The link between change and learning permeates the book. You can’t turn an organization into a learning organization without changing. Conversely, any strategic change in a company, that doesn’t contain.
Sometimes those books make such an impact that they change the way the world thinks about things. The following books have done just that by providing readers an education in politics and government, literature, society, academic subjects such as science and math, and religion. Every day, at Luna, we witness the nourishment dance brings into children's lives. ALL children NEED dance. Current research provides evidence that dance supports empathy, problem-solving, curiosity, and physical development. These are all attributes needed to thrive in our 21st century culture.
